When Wenting’s family returned to my studio, I couldn’t believe how much her little one had grown—now a proud big brother-to-be! Time truly flies. I first photographed Wenting’s family to celebrate her first baby’s 100-day milestone, back when photography was just a side passion of mine. Fast forward five years, and both her family and my business have grown in the most beautiful ways. It’s been such a joy to document their journey, along with so many other families who have trusted me with their milestones over the years. This time, I had the honor of capturing their family maternity photo session. I’m so excited to welcome Wenting’s growing family back to my studio in Woburn to celebrate this next chapter.

Seeing returning families like Wenting’s is one of the most fulfilling parts of my work. It’s a reminder of the deep connections that can form through photography—how each session becomes a chapter in a family’s evolving story. Watching little ones grow, families expand, and love multiply year after year is truly an honor I don’t take for granted.

Wenting’s eldest son was an absolute delight to work with and proved to be an excellent model. His curiosity, sweet energy, and willingness to engage made for some heartwarming moments. We had an enjoyable time creating my Boho lifestyle-themed setup, filled with natural textures and soft, earthy tones that bring out the warmth and intimacy of a growing family.

Subsequently, we transitioned to capturing some classic portraits against a pristine white background. I love combining both lifestyle and studio looks within a single session—it allows families to walk away with a diverse and well-rounded gallery. My goal is always to encapsulate various facets of a family’s essence: the genuine connections, the quiet moments, the shared laughter, and the beauty of expecting a new life.

For this maternity session, I aimed to convey both authentic and pure portraits, as well as vibrant and interactive moments within the lifestyle setting. I firmly believe this combination provides a timeless, heartfelt collection of studio family portraits that will be cherished for years to come.

The optimal window for maternity sessions falls between the 30th and 34th weeks of pregnancy, a time when the beautiful curve of motherhood is most pronounced, and mothers still feel comfortable and agile enough to pose gracefully. During studio sessions, mothers have the flexibility to choose from my curated wardrobe collection or bring their own outfits. I’m always happy to help style the session so it reflects your personality and vision, whether you’re leaning toward something elegant and minimal or playful and relaxed.
