What to Expect During a Santa Mini Session

1. Family Portrait
Start with Family Portraits – The session begins in Santa’s beautifully decorated workshop. This helps little ones warm up to the environment and gives your family timeless portraits in a cozy, festive setting.

2. A Magical Surprise
A Magical Surprise – Then, Santa makes his grand entrance! We’ll capture the pure joy and wonder on your child’s face as they realize Santa is right there with them.

3.Candid Moments to Remember
The rest of the session focuses on authentic, heartwarming interactions—sharing wishes, reading a Christmas story, or simply laughing together.
These genuine moments are what make the photos so special. Children don’t stay little forever, but the magic you see in their eyes during these sessions will be something you cherish for years to come.

Got some questions?
01.
What age is appropriate for a baby to join a mini session?
All of my mini sessions are tailored to babies who can sit without support. If your baby is under 6 months old or cannot sit up without assistance, I would suggest a full session customized for your baby.
02.
What if my baby needs more time to warm up or is scared of strangers?
Our mini sessions focus on capturing 5-7 images, so they are generally brief. If your baby tends to be shy or is going through a “stranger danger” phase, you might want to consider booking a full family holiday session instead. From my experience, little ones under 4 may not smile with Santa and could even cry. I usually start by taking more family photos before introducing the kids to Santa, as many parents appreciate capturing those genuine reactions. If you’re not comfortable with the possibility of crying photos with Santa, I recommend opting for the family holiday mini session instead.
03.
How many pictures can I expect from a mini session?
My mini sessions usually result in a gallery of 10-15 images. From this gallery, you can choose your favorite 7 images.
04.
Can we request a few specific poses or ideas for mini sessions?session?
While I have a well-planned workflow for all mini sessions that ensures the best results and high-quality pictures, I understand that you may have specific requests or need customization. However, for mini sessions, I am limited in time and may not be able to accommodate such requests. If you have specific ideas or would like more time for customization, I would recommend booking a full session with me.
05.
What is your rescheduling and cancellation policy for mini sessions?
Santa Mini sessions are transferable, but please notify me with the name and contact information of the new participant so I can communicate with them directly. If you need to reschedule, a $25 reschedule fee will apply, and your session fee can be transferred to a Holiday Family Mini Session instead, as Santa Minis are only available on November 16th. If you choose to cancel, a $100 cancellation fee will be deducted before a refund is issued.
06.
Can we take photos or videos with our phones during the session?
No, all forms of video and photo capturing with personal devices are prohibited during the session.
