As a family photographer, I typically communicate with moms about sessions. Occasionally, dads will reach out, often for last-minute bookings. However, Joey contacted me a couple of months before his little princess arrived and personally coordinated all the logistics. I knew right away he would be a very hands-on dad. When I met him during the session, it confirmed my assumption.
Baby Ava didn’t sleep much during the session. Usually, newborn sessions involve lots of sleeping baby photos, with maybe one or two awake shots. But Baby Ava was too curious about her new surroundings and stayed awake for most of the time. It didn’t stop us from capturing gorgeous family photos.
As a newborn photographer, I highly recommend scheduling a newborn session within the first two weeks after birth.
